It is a subsidiary of SMEC Automation - World's largest marine automation company and is the seat of the Core Resource Group, which constitutes the Research and Development wing of the company.

Ease of Access

All the training facilities of SMEClabs are easily accessible by all modes of transport. The Cochin facility is located right next to the private bus stand at Kaloor, which is the largest bus stand in Cochin - a stopping point for all the buses entering and leaving the city. The nearest railway station is Ernakulam Town (North) station which is just 800m from the facility and the nearest airport is 29 Km from the facility. Kaloor being one of the major centres of the city, is also host to plenty of restaurants including Arya's Vegetarian Restaurant and hotel Gokulam park Inn.
