What is PLC Automation Training ?

A PLC or Programmable Logic Controller is a device similar to a computer but is specifically designed to be used in an industrial atmosphere. A PLC is used as a control system in industries to continuously monitor the various industrial processes based on user-input programs to control the states of input devices as well as the output devices. Unlike a typical digital computer, a PLC is able to withstand the harsh industrial conditions and can redesigned to adapt to them. At SMEClabs, we ensure that you are fully aware of the various aspects of PLC Training.

A major versatility of a PLC is that it can be programmed according to the operational requirement of a process. Some of the widely known functions that can be performed by using a PLC are calculating, counting, comparing, timing, and processing analog signals. The fundamental ease and simplicity of the PLCs in the increasing complexity of manufacturing and industrial businesses that embrace the digital transformation makes PLCs a flexible and familiar solution. The most commonly used programming language for any PLC is the Ladder Diagram, which is a graphical programming language. With the current industry 4.0 and IIoT hype, it is predicted that PLCs will continue to grow in prominence. PLCs have increasingly become an essential part of the modern machine automation.

Why should you do the PLC Automation Course with SMEClabs?

Unlike a typical digital computer, a PLC is able to withstand the harsh industrial conditions and can redesigned to adapt to them. At SMEClabs, we ensure that you are fully aware of the various aspects of PLC Training. For the Top PLC Training Programs in India , join SMEClabs. With a certification in PLC  Training from SMEClabs India , overcome your fear of the unknown and become more confident and comfortable to handle challenges in the industry. PLC is an industrial computer that monitors inputs and outputs to make decisions based on based on the program stored to the PLC’s memory.  The use of PLC’s help to reduce human decision-making efforts to gain higher efficiency. PLCs incorporate internal relays that can function as a physical relay would, and eliminate the relay footprint driving costs down.

Automation is the use of electronics and computer-controlled devices to assume control of processes. The aim of automation is to boost efficiency and reliability.

  • Ladder Diagram (LD)
  • Sequential Function Charts (SFC)
  • Function Block Diagram (FBD)
  • Structured Text (ST)
  • Instruction List (IL)

A Human-Machine Interface (HMI) is a user interface or dashboard that communicate with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

A programmable logic controller (PLC) is an electronic device used in many industries to monitor and control construction systems and production.

1. PLC work only in auto mode (Since program is predefined). If there is error during the operation, we cannot proceed till it rectifies or corrected.
2. The set point cannot be altered in PLC. (If needs to be altered then the licensed program has to be downloaded)
3. There is no display unit in PLC.
4. In PLC we cannot monitor what is happening during the execution.
5. It is programmable logical circuit.

1. HMI work in both auto and manual mode. If there is any error during operations, it can be changed to manual mode and the further operations shall be continued.
2. In HMI, able to change the set point.
3. There will be the display unit in HMI with function buttons.
4. Possible to monitor the current happenings.
5. HMI is generally a touch screen to the PLC

Which PLC and SCADA can be use in industries is depends on many criterias. There are different products in PLC and SCADA. Each have their own specifications.
