Description
- As we all know, the best way to learn something is to get your hands on it! The same goes with a PLC. The more you are familiar in programming a PLC, the better you get at it. Investing in your own PLC is a crucial way to accelerate your learning process. However, although you may be familiar with the PLC components, you may not always succeed in getting all the electrical parts to get your system running. Additionally, the cost of the PLC is one major deterministic factor that lies between you and your own PLC.
- Understanding these concerns, we at SMEClabs came up with a feasible solution. We have launched our cost-effective PLC Training Kits loaded with all the essential hardware and other components to help you realize your dream of owning a PLC. Our DIY PLC Training Kit will enable you to familiarise yourself with PLC assembly, wiring and connections, programming and enable you to create industrial project simulations at the comfort of your home, thus giving you the confidence and the push in the direction of your dreams.
PLC
- 1 NO OMRON (CP1E with Analog and Digital IOs) PLC With Communication Cable
A programmable logic controller or programmable controller is an industrial digital computer that has been ruggedized and adapted for the control of manufacturing processes, such as assembly lines, robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability, ease of programming, and process fault diagnosis.
RELAY
- 4 NOS SPDT Relays with Base
An electromechanical relay is an electrical switch actuated by an electromagnet coil. As switchingdevices, they exhibit simple “on” and “off” behaviour with no intermediate states. Relays are veryuseful devices, as they allow a single discrete (on/off) electrical signal to control much greater levelsof electrical power, and/or multiple power or control signals that are otherwise isolated from eachother. For example, a relay may be controlled by a low-voltage, low-current signal that passesthrough a delicate switch of some sort (e.g. limit switch, proximity switch, optical sensor), and thenthe switching contacts of that relay may be used to control a much higher-voltage, higher-currentcircuit, and even multiple circuits given multiple sets of switching contacts.
The electronic schematic symbol for a simple single-pole, Double-throw (SPDT) relay is shownhere:
This design of switch provides both a Normally-Open and Normally-Closedcontact set in one unit, actuated by the electromagnet coil.
SMPS (SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY)
- 1NO 24VDC, 2A Output 220V AC Input
It’s a module that consists of multiple inductors, capacitors and semiconductor devices such as diodes and MOSFETs. It converts AC Voltage to DC Voltage. We use it instead of a linear supply/power adapter because it gives better efficiency. It plays a major role in almost all electronic equipment (like mobile chargers, PC power supplies, etc).
It works on semiconductor switch type MOSFET to switch on-off the supply voltage at a particular switching frequency to control the output voltage. When you change the switching frequency it will change the output voltage.
FUSE WITH TERMINAL BLOCK
- 1NO Fuse 1NO terminal for Fuse
a fuse is an electrical safety device that operates to provide overcurrent protection of an electricalcircuit. Its essential component is a metal wire or strip that melts when too much current flows through it, thereby stopping or interrupting the current. It is a sacrificial device; once a fuse hasoperated it is an open circuit, and must be replaced or rewired, depending on its type.
MCB (MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER)
- 1 NO 2A 1 Pole
A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excess current from an overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after a fault is detected.
WIRE LUGS
- 1 Set of Different Colours
Cable or wire lugs are devices that are used for connecting cables to electrical appliances, other cables, surfaces, or mechanisms. The clamps that connect wires to an automotive battery are a common example of a cable lug, as are the ends of battery jumper cables.
DIN RAIL
- 1 NO 1M Length
DIN rails are a global industry standard component rail-mounting system used for securely attaching electrical and industrial control products, such as circuit breakers, terminal blocks and electronic enclosures
WIRE DUCT
- 2 NOS 1M Length Each
Wire duct is used to route, protect and/or organize electrical cables and wires, typically within a control panel. Rigid and flexible duct in a variety of sizes and styles offer installation flexibility; spiral wire wrap and braided sleeving allow easy wire grouping and protection.
VOLT METER
- 1 NO 0 – 99 V DC Volt Meter
A voltmeter is an instrument used for measuring electric potential difference between two points in an electric circuit. It is connected in parallel. It usually has a high resistance so that it takes a negligible current from the circuit.
EMERGENCY STOP PUSHBUTTON
- 1 NO with NO NC Contacts
An emergency stop push button is a fail-safe control switch that provides both safety for the machinery and for the person using the machinery. The purpose of the emergency push button is to stop the machinery quickly when there is a risk of injury or the workflow requires stopping.
PUSHBUTTON
- 1 NO Eachwith NO and NC Contacts
A Normally Open (NO) Push Button is a push button that, in its default state, makes no electrical contact with the circuit. Only when the button is pressed down does it make electrical contact with the circuit.
A Normally Closed (NC) Push Button is a push button that, in its default state, makes electrical contact with the circuit.
When the button is pressed down, the switch no longer makes electrical contact and the circuit is now open. Therefore, electricity can no longer flow to the other part of the circuit to turn or power on the respective part of the circuit the button was made to switch.
SELECTOR SWITCH
- 1 NOwith NO NC Contact
Selector switches are actuated with a rotary knob or lever of some sort to select one of two or more positions. Like the toggle switch, selector switches can either rest in any of their positions or contain spring-return mechanisms for momentary operation.
PROXIMITY SWITCH
- 1 NOInductive Proximity Sensor Switch PNP
Proximity switches open or close an electrical circuit when they make contact with or come within a certain distance of an object. Proximity switches are most commonly used in manufacturing equipment, robotics, and security systems.
POTENTIOMETER
- 1 NO
A potentiometer is a three-terminal resistor with a sliding or rotating contact that forms an adjustable voltage divider. If only two terminals are used, one end and the wiper, it acts as a variable resistor or rheostat.
PILOT LAMP
- 3 NOS 24V DC
A pilot lamp is a light that illuminates under specific conditions, most commonly when an electrical circuit is energized.
DC FAN
- 1 NO 24V DC
